"Reading and writing with groups of people is a joy. The discussion of ideas that lead to inspiration and social engagement start in the classroom, especially at the university level. When students study and dream about their future professions, they are optimistic and hopeful, and this view of the future is energizing to me. Teaching is a way to foster, share, and give back to society. Authors are interesting and insightful.
The desire to learn pushed me to teach at the collegiate level. I never wanted to stop learning--of course--and teachers, students, and the social milieu of the university contributed to my desire to continue teaching there. "
